SUMMARY:  LC 29 6148  

Upon reporting suspected child abuse to the appropriate agency by a school employee, the agency shall, within 24 hours, acknowledge receipt of such report in writing to the employee.  The agency, within five days of completing the investigation of the suspected abuse, shall disclose in writing to the school counselor (or principal, if no counselor) of the school the child is attending advising as to whether the suspected abuse was confirmed or unconfirmed.
